"errors" are common. We can tell from your DNA who
your parents are. But we can tell that you are different
from you parents. Most of that is due to recombination.
But we can also identify where a specific gene in your
DNA has been mutated.  We can also check your
gametes and find differences in your own DNA.
DNA was never "perfect". The first eukaryotic DNA 
was in a single celled animal. If DNA "decayed" from
there, how ever did any advanced animal ever form?

The "fall" is a fantasy story. People eating apples
has no effect on DNA (unless maybe you eat a
radioactive apple).
