Perhaps he is asking about MZLA`s acquisition of K9 (which does have an
Android version) back in Jun 2022 which got rebranded to Thunderbird.

If you search on "thunderbird" at Google`s Play Store, you end up at the
product page showing "K-9 Mail".  Guess the rebranding hasn`t happened
yet.

Until thoroughly recoded, K-9 still operates as the K-9 app, not as a
Thunderbird app on Android.  So, the question morphs into:

  Can the Android K-9 calendar sync to  in TB 
  on my laptop.

That requires discovering how the K-9 app`s calendar syncs to whatever
method his e-mail provider supports.  Could be Gmail using Google`s
Calendar API to access Gmail calendar accounts.  Could be using WebCal
or CalDAV.  He needs to find out from whomever is his e-mail (or
separate calendar) service just how they provide access to *any* local
e-mail or calendar client.

Until the OP discloses his calendar provider (likely his e-mail
provider), no one can investigate on his behalf how that service
provider allows access to their calendar feature.  It`s a vague inquiry.

It`s not about getting the clients to sync to each other.  It`s about
each client on how it syncs to the service provider.  Both clients can
point to the service (aka e-mail provider) to sync there.  Then they
both show the same data from the same online source.

This newsgroup discusses Thunderbird available on Windows and Linux.
Thunderbird on Android is still the K-9 Mail app.  Better to ask a
community focused on K-9, like:
