.deb files are easy, it`s an ar archive containing 2 compressed
tar files, IIRC data.tgz * control.tgz. data has the actual code.
Create a temp directory & cd into it. ar -x
tar -xvf datz.tgz to extract the code
The control file is scripts & info about the package.
