Quantum computers don`t exist. Quantum computing is pseudo-science.

Of course I knew this and raised the alarm about it long before the
release of Gutmann`s paper (years ago). But suggesting Gutmann`s
paper is relevant in a world where people appeal to authority instead of
actual science and facts.

You trolling tin foil hatters need to start thinking for yourselves
instead of parroting industry propaganda. You do nothing, produce
nothing, innovate nothing, then act like you know everything. It`s
enraging to witness this incompetence championed like heroism.

Recap:

1. Quantum computers are fake fantasy. Quantum computers DO NOT exist.

2. Quantum entangled q-bits are fake. Q-bits DO NOT exist.

Conclusion:

Quantum computing is propaganda without substance. You need to be much,
much more concerned about a fast factoring shortcut than with mythical
quantum computers. If someone proves that prime semi-factoring is
actually not hard with a real shortcut, then all your RSA and DLP
cryptography is toast. Since no mathematician has ever conclusively
proven the RSA or DLP problems to be actually NP-hard this is a open
question which is a real concern.

More than likely the person who discovers such a shortcut will not
publish it, but instead will firesale billions of dollars to his own
coffers and wreak havoc like never before seen. An efficient break for
RSA or DLP would mean the breaker can hack every secure system in the
world, read every encrypted password, and decrypt every encrypted
message. No quantum boogie-woogie is needed, just a fast factoring
shortcut.

A government that had already broken RSA would be very concerned and
would likely create a smokescreen reason to get people to move to
cryptography based upon another un-broken problem. They would not
announce that they broke RSA. They would likely keep that under their
hat and use it while pushing the industry to switch to a different kind
of cryptography.
