Okay - quick update, since I`ve not been on a BBS is a while...

Temporarily mounted a J Pole on an extension ladder and leaned it
on the side of the house - LOL   I was hitting repeaters around
with NO problem - could hit Memphis (about 80 miles away) sometimes.

My wife`s uncle has some old tower pieces in his yard he wants
out of the way, so today he`s bringing me about 50 feet of the
`triangle` type. Next step is to get it installed and see what
I can do... If the J Pole isn`t enough I`ll get a base station
antenna to put on it.
