You can try some alternative front ends for youtube.

I`m using this one currently:

(His nyc1 server is currently being blocked by YouTube)

 It`s an "Invidious" frontend for YouTube. It works well from both
mobile & desktop browsers.

But I haven`t really played around with those two.
