It`s going to be 64, not 48 (it`s 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, ...)
I work as a volunteer helping people with digital stuff like
smartphones. Past week I`ve encountered a woman with a malfunctioning
phone with 62 GB of her 64 GB filled. That`s just asking for problems.
If her phone has the option of a microSD card I`d advise to buy one and
move data to it. Don`t buy too big. You should be able to see on
gsmarena.com what cards are supported.
You can backup pictures to Google Drive and delete them on the phone.
There`s a setting to not backup the original size, but smaller. Not too
worry; they will still be big enough. Contact list is on Google Drive as
well.

Her carrier needs to support her device as well for it to work.

IIRC you can check this with:
*#*#4636#*#*
As for VoWiFi, if the phone supports it I advise to set it to always use
VoWiFi if possible.

I value VoWiFi over VoLTE. In my history, I can see when VoLTE is being
used, so it`s active. To my knowledge, there`s no setting for this, but
the device needs to be supported by the carrier.
