The only one I really remember where I overly noticed it to the point of
thinking this is silly was Oblivion. Oh you remember those bears you
sometimes encounter when out in the wilderness, well as you`ve become
relatively powerful we`ve upped their stats to match you . For me that
breaks the immersion. Skyrim as far as I remember more used a system I
didn`t mind where it changes the enemies you face in response to what
level you are.
A system a rather liked was Pillars Of Eternity II. In that as how you
progress through the various maps/areas is relatively open it places a
challenge rating above each area so you don`t blunder into something
where the outcome will be bad luck you`re dead.
