 I started doing that in 1972 in the USA for 5 consecutive summers,
then 2002, then 2009-2016, then 2019 ...
 
In between I ran camps in Belgium, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, Canada.
 
 Working with youth is very rewarding, but also frightening noticing
how the level of education has gone down the drain in 50 years.
 
 Kids these days have a hard time understanding the difference
between `knowing their shit` and `knowing they`re shit`. It gets really bad
when also teachers are showing up in that league and lately a history
teacher asserted that Columbus on his voyage to the west made a stop at
the Galapagos islands ... when I told him "wrong ocean" he set me
straight.
