 That issue was fixed in JamNNTPd 1.2 (with a patch by Peter
Krefting. Since that version, it uses valid RFC-5322 addresses in the From
field (110@854.292.2 instead of 2:292/854.110)

 BTW, I made my own fork of JamNNTPd and have fixed several issues
with Thunderbird and other newsreaders (problems with dots, extra spaces,
etc.)
