Hello Vincent,
On Saturday May 23 2026 15:11, you wrote to me:

Dream on. As Ward already noticed the days of "Brittania rules the
Waves" are long gone. And so is the rule of the Pound Sterling as a
world currency.
When I was a teenager it was about 10 Dutch Guilders for a Pound.
Now the Pound is down to 1,16 Euro. Which means that compared to my
currency the Pound has only about a third of the value it had half century
ago.
Hanging on to it just for historic reasons is illogical.
Whatever, those who wish to join the EU should accept ALL that
comes with it. It is not a pick and choose game.
Cheers, Michiel
