He was from the generation of Soviet people:

1. Never witnessed war themselves, but saw many WWII-movies
2. Had very poor childhood in highly criminal environment
3. Were taught thru their lives that "the West is the eternal enemy"
4. Lying and doublethink were very normal

 Unfortunately, he and his friends from KGB tried to reformat the
country their way (with help from many people) and this is where we are
now.

 The most terrifying problem is when you ask someone on the street
for help and they send you in the opposite direction by mistake. I
think I also did that a couple of times.. Don`t know where those people
are right now.. :)
