If golded is unable to read those messages then this method won`t work.

 They could be corrupt or they may be in a format golded doesn`t
support. There were two slightly different *.msg formats in use, for reasons
I don`t know.

I wonder if hpt will be able to read those messages?

 You could try to rescan those messages from your hub to another
node. I don`t know if that would be successful or not but it might
work.. or not.. ;)
