Unfortunately, you really couldn`t be done reliably. One of the
reasons for going from .cnf to .ini format was to be able to expand
configuration fields and now that we`ve done that (e.g. 32-char internal codes),
those won`t "fit" in a msgs.cnf file. If a sysop upgraded from an
earlier version of Synchronet, they should still have their msgs.cnf file in
place that GoldEd+ could read/use until such time as someone updates the
program to read msgs.ini files.
