I do remember an episode of The Simpsons where Ned Flanders says, in regards to
bad language, "I expect that kind of language at Denny`s, but not here!".  I`ve
looked up why that reference would have been put it (after all, they wouldn`t
have put in that joke if it didn`t make sense to others) and found there were
some racial discrimination lawsuits in the 90s.  I do remember something else
being said, ages ago about Denny`s, but I was little at the time, and the only
thing I remember was there was some "issue".

In retrospect, looking at it now that I`m older, it seems to be a
nothingburger.
