  Aside from that, I can think of some other options.
A native RichEdit might do it. I`ve never tested anything
like 300 MB, but they load files very fast. Another option
might be to load it yourself in byte form, perhaps part
of it at a time, then either tokenize it or do a basic instr
operation. XML is not rocket science. It doesn`t
require a special library. You look for " look for " from that point. If you find both then
you parse the lines in between. A bit tedious, but not hard.
And instr is incredibly fast, especially if you ucase or lcase
the parent string first.
