 Actually I still have my very first modem. I is a 300 Bps home
made contraption. Not suitable for running a Fidonet node because it is
vey basic. It can not dial out by itself, not does it support answer
mode. But it did work to call a BBS.

 Later I made a 1200 Bps V23 modem based on the "world chip" That
one could dial out and answer incoming calls, but it only worked with
my 6809 Flex computer. (also home made, no longer functional)
