Sure, I know it`s a hobby and a volunteered position... But if somebody 
volunteers to "do a job" and then... doesn`t do the job, well.... they 
should get fired.  One of the key points here is how one defines "a 
longer period of time".  Perhaps two weeks absent isn`t quite long 
enough, but maybe a MONTH is, IMHO.  If I`m gonna be away from home for 
more than a week, I let my RC know.

100% agree.  Remove the segment in those cases.

Yes, I`m aware of that, and it was the right thing to do.  Could have 
been MUCH sooner even, I`d say.
