I would not necessarily say "hurts" although, in this case, that could be
some people. They may not like his attitude or how he belittles others,
for example, or some of the people he surrounds himself with (like, for a
few days anyway, Gaetz).

I don`t know what state he lives in but here I knew it did *not* equate to
that. In 2016, OTOH, I was not so sure so I voted for Trump even though I
was not thrilled with either choice. I found him to be the preferable
loudmouth to Hillary and didn`t want to cast a vote that equated to voting
for her.
This time, there were a lot of local things that I really wanted to get my
vote cast on, like an Amendment that clearly states that non-citizens
cannot vote (I voted for it and it passed) and some non-partisan local
government races.
