speaking on matters of faith and ethics, the pope is infallible, being the
direct successor of St. Peter.

 Chosen is correct. Pope Leo XIV was chosen by God, through the
prayers of the faithful and the ballots cast by the sacred college of
cardinals. 

 Perhaps you should find a different Church to attend if you are
not Catholic, as such blasphemy could surely lead to your
excommunication, otherwise. 


 Or, maybe this entire religion thing is just a pile of crap made
up to control the people.
