  I spent nearly a dozen years going to Catholic schools with daily
relgious studies. I participated in (and led) youth retreats and services. I
taught night school courses for younger kids. I went to Denver in 1993
for World Youth Day and was mere inches from Pope John Paul II at one
point.

 In those Catholic schools I also learned science, mathematics,
history, English, a bit of German, some French, and a whole bunch of other
things.

Those Catholic schools made me into the atheist I am today.
