 No they weren`t here legally or they would not have been deported.
All the HB1 visas were expired and considered over-stay.

People in the US legally and doing lawful things don`t get deported.

 Korea corrected everything by taking their citizens back... Hyundai
pinky-swore not to do this again.

 BTW, my Step-son was in the US the other day... Canadian and
Dominican Citizen... HB2 visa... and he didn`t get deported because he was
their lawfully and doing lawful things.

BTW, HB2 visas are visitor visas and they shouldn`t be working.
