That depends on your definition of "left".  The left has always been sick.

But for a while, the Democrat party was was not.  They were very similar to the
Republican party in that they both wanted the same outcome, but differed on how
to accomplish it.

It`s just that the Democrat party was easier for the Left to infiltrate and
take over.
