In this Michigan case, the property was worth about $200,000 (according to the
county).  It was seized over a "unpaid" property tax of about $2000.  It sold
at auction for $57,000, so the ex-owner got $55,000 and the new owner flipped
it for $250,000.

This is gov`t committed fraud.

This one is a bit of a grey area to me, though.  But this could have been
handled in the courts easily.

I would say that most people believe that.  That`s why the elimination of the
property tax is high on people`s lists.  In the end, we`ll pay the same amount
in taxes. But if someone doesn`t pay, they can`t take their house.
