Yes, it is.

What happens to a restaurant when it serves poorly cooked food?  It goes out of
business.
What happens to a contractor who does shoddy work?  He gets sued and goes out
of business.

I could list more, but you get the idea.

A business` reputation is far more important than any gov`t regulation.  And
especially today, finding out about a business` reputation is just a Google
search away.

Regulation is a way for Elitists to restrict competition to protect their
buddy`s business.  It`s a way for companies to avoid accountability "But we
followed the regulations..."

Too often those regulations are set by bureaucrats who have absolutely no
knowledge of what they are regulating.

I wouldn`t trust a gov`t bureaucrat to vet a doctor.  And this is yet another
example of gov`t overreach.

The only people who should vet doctors are other doctors - which are not the
same as "state medical boards".

And your point is?

My point is that the gov`t should not be regulating ANY of this, but you keep
giving me examples of the gov`t regulating things that they do not have the
knowledge or authority to regulate.

And the public represents the biggest regulator:  Do a bad job and we stop
paying for your "services".

It`s mandatory only if the gov`t imposes it.

I go see a lawyer.  Oh, he isn`t vetted by the ABA.  I think I`ll go see
someone else.
I go see a doctor.  Oh, he isn`t vetted by the other doctors. I think I`ll go
see someone else.

No gov`t involved.

"Protect the people" has been the excuse for over regulation for literally
decades.  It`s not a reason.  It`s an excuse for the Elitists in gov`t to suck
up more power that they do not have under the Constitution.
