The late, great, Terry Pratchett wrote of "Narrativium", which he said 
was the raw material from which stories are constructed.

... there`s also "Corium", which is the name given by nuclear engineers 
to the the material created in the core of a nuclear reactor that is 
(inadvisedly) allowed to melt down ... as has happened at Three Mile 
Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima.
