I walked to school from the first grade through high school. The town
did have school busses but they were only for kids that lived more
then 1 mile from the school and I lived 1 mile from the school.

Strange as it may seem today, people used to walk. Most businessmen
walked to work as cars were pretty much reserved for church on Sunday.
