 Personally, I think one should bring back the pillory in a public
square (Newcastle upon Tyne in this instance?) and have a ready supply of
rotten tomatoes at hand. 
 One wonders what neurons got together in this ijit`s head to make
him think it was a good idea?

 I once visited this tree on a trip to Vindolanda (sp?). Pity we
won`t be seeing it again on our next trip to the UK.
