But we all knew that. Another oddity; why change the name from "UFO"

etc). The two I see off-hand are, that "UAP" is a much more general
term than is implied by "Object", and allows exploration of events or
phenomena that happen daily (lots of daily work & projects, instead of
waiting for a rare & fraught headline project), and (so far) it is
relatively unencumbered by the `weirdos` factor. Whether it proves a useful
change, remains to be seen.

 We see this manipulation all the time. Like when "global warming"
became "climate change." "Abortion" becomes "reproductive rights" etc,. I
think there is one to rename "bombing run." The vagueness of language is
a key government policy.
