 It may be worth noting that another dinosaur not especially closely
related to Tyranosaurids also developed 
 short arms. These are the Carcharodontosaurid dinosaurs of Patagonia.
They are well separated spatially and 
 temporally. The reasons for the convergent trait are still
controversial, but are probably the same for both groups.
