Deaths caused by bird strikes are rare, especially with airliners. The 
engines can handle small birds without damage. A larger bird can cause 
engine failure, but hitting multiple large birds is unlikely, and 
airliners can cope with the loss of an engine. Finally, even if large 
birds manage to take out all engines, that doesn`t necessarily lead to a 
fatal crash.
