 I`m using ddfilelister and DDAreaListers so unsure if this is a
question about those mods or synchronet itself..

1) How long do files stay "new"?

I`m doing a new scan each day since i started and it appears to show my all the
 files in my file base each time.

2) Is it possible to disable the virtual subdirectory feature?

 If not, is there specific characters to avoid using to have it
make these virtual subdirectories.
