What do you mean about setting it up "slightly"?
I migrated my Synchronet BBS from Windows to Linux a few years ago
(also with Linux Mint), and I actually found it fairly smooth. I didn`t
do any pre-setup with SCFG; I simply copied my Synchronet directory
tree over to my Linux setup. I made sure I set the needed environment
variables (I set SBBSROOT, SBBSCTRL, and SBBSEXEC), and Synchronet was able to
find its configuration & everything. In SCFG, I just had to change the
command lines for the doors & such (for instance, not running .bat files &
such), changed paths to ensure they were correct, etc.
