the "mods" directory isn`t in the git repo, so I`m not sure what you`re saying.

 Use the copy of spidermonkey included in the Synchronet git repo,
in the 3rdp directory instead. That`s the normal/default build option.
Using the system`s libmzojs185 is the exception.
