 Like I said, I wrote the wiki based on my configurtion so yes,
I`m pretty sure I`m using the correct setup.

It is but it`s also chmod 777 that I should probably fix to be 750.

If your user and group is sbbs then I would use that rather than syslog.

 Also, if your user and group are not bbs then you`ll need to
change fileOwner in your rsyslog.d file.
