 I am trying to find an alternative message editor to timEd for
OS/2. I`m trying to figure out a way in the meantime to insert the
TZUTC kludge; perhaps I can come up with a .cmd file that runs after
the message is created to insert it. As far as the IBMPC kludge I
have commented it out in the config file - let`s see if that works.

 BTW, I went looking for GoldEd for OS/2 but it`s last rendition
was from the year 2000 and I`m not sure that would be any better than
timEd... But such a minor glitch as an obsolete kludge and a missing time
zone should not break FidoNet - at least the rest is in good order,
including the proper date format.
