 Strange. As is `file` shows it as `ISO-8859 text` which I know is
wrong. Forcing it using `iconv -f koi8-r` shows it as `Unicode text, UTF-8
text` and the line in question becomes; ╨б╨╕╨╗╤М╨╜╤Л╨╣, ╨║╨░╨║ ╨▒╤Л╨║,
╤Г╨╝╨╜╤Л╨╣, ╨║╨░╨║ ╤В╤А╨░╨║╤В╨╛╤А. Definetly more evidence in favour of setting
all output to utf-8 given all the 8-bit character confusion and
corruption. I believe I said that at the start of this particular thread.
