Probably.  So far binutils-2.44 appears to be working.  :::knock on wood:::

 The current plan is to update the fidonet node - Little Mikey`s
Brain - onto an mSATA disk and keep the SSD (sata) as the backup,
storage, and /home partition. I just started about a half an hour ago. Then
I plan to upgrade the MMC disk on the EuroPoint and see which one
is better, not that I plan to replicate the same(s) in the future.
nvme disks are the way to go these days, as well as usb 3.whatever in
order to take advantage of usb3 monitors, which run on spit which makes
them attactive. I have a 15" 1080p, aka 2K, that steals about 8W from
the usb3 connection. Unfortunately the only system I had that was
up-to-speed usb3-wise died due to a too close for comfort lightening strike.

 It was recycled from a 20 year experiment. Something to do with
16-bit hex output, although looking at it now I can`t recall why 53423
had any meaning to me, given D0AF big endian or AFD0 in little endian.

 See above. I used to pick ones that are easy to remember given
it`s output in hex, such as FACE. Converting to binary for msg headers
one is forced to use little endian. Personally I think binary data
should be excluded, especially in headers.
