In case it helps:
 HotdogEd (an Android point package) lets you star/unstar messages
(like e.g. Thunderbird). But something I like is that it has a virtual
group "Starred" where you can see your starred messages from all echos.
You can reply there and it goes to the corresponding area (which is
shown in the message header).
