Gemini suggests the following to change the font back:

 If you`re not too familiar with vi or vim, "nano" is possibly
installed which is an easier editor to use if you dont like vim.

    sudo nano /etc/locale.conf

Also you can start the gui from the command line with:

    startx

 assuming you`re at the PC running that variant of linux and not
connecting remotely.
