Hello!
I can fully recommend Mad Professor Amber Overdrive
pedal to those guitar freaks who wish to get great
vintage overdrive.
I am sure it works well with many different
setups, but I have tried it with the following:
- 1976 Gibson SG with standard Gibson humbuckers
- 1964 Vox AC30 Top Boost head and matching 1964
2x12 Vox cabinet with original blue AlNiCo
speakers
The AC30 was running *totally clean*, then you just
push this amazing pedal on... Whoa, the overdriven
tone is simply amazing! Holy fuck! :-)
My good friend owns something like 120-150 guitar
effects pedals, and he ranks Amber Overdrive in
his Top 3.
I have heard that they (Mad Professor) now offer
some kind of "Midas Mod" to alter the sound of
this pedal, but I do not give a damn about it.
The original pedal without any mods sounds superb
and I don`t need any kind of mods to improve it.
br,
KK
