 Canadian charter airline Nolinor Aviation has reintroduced a Boeing
737-200 aircraft into its fleet, marking the first expansion of its Nordic
division in three years.
 
 Nolinor`s aircraft is a rare 737-200 variant equipped with the
`gravel kit`, which includes a large deflector on the nose landing gear,
and a probe in front of each engine intake which blows any FOD clear
of the engine`s path.
 
 Unfortunately, this system was never made available for later
versions of the 737, so the 737-200 rules the roost in gravel runway
operations in Canada`s far North. This 737-200 received a 7-month renovation,
representing an investment of $3 million, and is thus set to remain in service
for many years to come.
